Bring your Dad to Beningbrough this Sunday for bushcraft activities and beer sampling from local brewers in York – a perfect treat for Father’s Day!

Nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside between York and Harrogate, the eight acres of gardens and woodland will provide the ideal treat for Father’s Day. Head over to the wild American Garden for a host of free bushcraft activities led by Yorkshire Dales Bushcraft.

Get Dad involved in fire lighting using a primitive bow drill or baking damper bread using pre-historic methods. Gather round the campfire and learn how to prepare a rainbow trout using an ancient technique from Canada.

Finish the visit with a sample of locally brewed beer from Treboom Brewery; who will be on hand to chat about their beers and explain how they’re crafted.

All the activities are free, and entry is free to National Trust members and under-fives, otherwise normal admission charges apply. The activities are bookable on the day on a first come, first served basis as numbers are limited. http://bit.ly/BeningbroughFathersDay
