Burnby Hall Gardens, Pocklington, seven times consecutive winners of the prestigious Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Award, hold their fifth annual Tulip Festival from 28 April to 12 May.
Whilst best known for our impressive National Collection of over one hundred varieties of Hardy Water Lily, which bloom on the two ornamental lakes in the summer, the Tulip Festival attracts many thousands of visitors to Yorkshire’s unique Gardens in the spring.
Over 14,000 tulips, comprising over 30 varieties, will be on display. These can be seen formally displayed in tubs throughout the Gardens and in the numerous flower beds throughout the site, providing a cascade of colour and beauty for the spring.
The Festival is once again being run in conjunction with the award-winning Bloms Bulbs, who achieved Gold for their own tulip display at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2013.
A beautiful and colourful way to enjoy a lovely spring day, the Gardens are open between 10 am and 5.30 pm daily (with last entry at 4.30 pm).
