Wrap up warmly this winter and enjoy the breathtaking display of snowdrops creating a spectacular ‘white carpet’ at Burton Agnes Hall from the 8th February to 3rd March 2019, from 11am to 4pm every day.
Every February, millions of hardy snowdrops push through the cold winter ground to create a magnificent display across the woodland floor at the Cunliffe-Listers’ Elizabethan family home.
The snowdrop walk makes a truly memorable day out at the end of a long winter. The beautiful little flowers are such a welcome sight, and grow in numbers each year. This biblical symbol of hope reminds us that winter eventually gives way to spring, and announces the new season.
After enjoying the charming sight of the snowdrops, visitors are welcomed to the courtyard, where you can find scrumptious locally roasted Fairtrade coffees and speciality teas, home-baked treats and warming meals. The Home & Garden Shop and Gift Shop will be packed with the new season’s stock for a perfect gift or treat. Galanthophiles may also like to buy some Burton Agnes-propagated snowdrops ‘in the green’, which is the best way of building a collection.
Please note that in gale force winds the woodland walk will close. Please phone the office on 01262 490 324 if you would like advice.
