Visitors to RHS Garden Harlow Carr are invited behind the scenes this autumn as part of the garden’s 25th anniversary celebrations, with a special programme of daily Gardener Talks led by the experts who help bring the garden to life.

Taking place every day at 3pm from Monday 21 September to Sunday 4 October, the series of informal 25-minute talks offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from members of the RHS Harlow Carr team and discover what goes on behind the scenes at one of the North of England’s most beautiful gardens.

From seasonal highlights and future plans to the challenges and rewards of caring for over 60 acres of stunning garden, visitors will gain fascinating insights into the work, expertise and passion that underpin RHS Harlow Carr. Along the way, they’ll pick up practical gardening tips, inspiration and advice to use in their own gardens at home.

Each talk will focus on a different aspect of the garden, giving visitors the chance to learn more about its development, plant collections and year-round maintenance from the people who know it best.

The talks form part of a wider programme of events celebrating 25 years of RHS Harlow Carr, marking a quarter of a century since the RHS took over stewardship of the much-loved Yorkshire garden in 2001.

Liz Thwaite, Head of Site at RHS Harlow Carr, said:

“As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re delighted to offer visitors the chance to hear directly from the people who care for the garden every day. These talks will provide a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes, while sharing practical horticultural advice and seasonal inspiration that gardeners of all levels can enjoy.”

Whether you’re a keen gardener, a regular visitor or discovering RHS Harlow Carr for the first time, the Gardener Talks promise expert insights, inspiring stories and a deeper appreciation of the people and plants that make the garden such a special place.
