Nunnington Hall, York, North Yorkshire
Enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful Yorkshire manor house, sitting on the quiet banks of the River Rye.
At this welcoming house and garden, in its beautiful setting on the River Rye, you can discover stories about the Fife family in the 1920s, as well as the rise and fall of Lord Preston during the 17th century. The organic garden is ideal for relaxing and you can picnic in wildflower meadows and fruit orchards. This year the ‘Essex House Tapestries: The Life of Julie Cope’ by Grayson Perry, are hanging in place of the 17th-century tapestries, which are away for conservation. There is also the Carlisle Collection of miniature rooms, renowned for its high quality craftsmanship, to enjoy.
