Goddards House, York, North Yorkshire
Celebrate 250 years of Terry’s confectionary history (think chocolate orange!) at the former family home of Noel Terry.
Discover the Terry family’s story and confectionary history (think chocolate orange), at their former home overlooking the Knavesmire.
A warm Arts and Crafts house full of memories where you can sit down in the drawing room, pour yourself a sherry and feel right at home. Meander through garden rooms where you’ll find fragrant borders and hidden corners. Commissioned by Noel Terry and created by George Dillistone, the Arts and Crafts garden is one of the few to visit in central York. The tearoom in the Terry’s former dining room serves delicious lunches. You can also take afternoon tea on the terrace with a garden view, or morning coffee in the drawing room.
