The Yorkshire Arboretum is the perfect place to escape to, just 30 minutes from York. Experience exceptional natural beauty in this stunning sheltered valley: A botanically-diverse tree collection, wildflower meadows, sweeping vistas and rich native fauna. Wander off and explore peaceful glades, follow a tree trail or simply relax and enjoy the views.
The Arboretum Café is the perfect spot to unwind on your visit, with home-cooked food and drinks served all day including locally-roasted coffee, freshly-made sandwiches and outrageously good cakes! Free weekly tours and a variety of events ensure there’s something for everyone, whenever you visit. Under-12s are admitted free of charge and group bookings are welcome.

The Yorkshire Arboretum is 15 miles north-east of York. Follow signs for Castle Howard from the A64. We’re opposite the main entrance to Castle Howard.
