The Yorkshire Arboretum is the perfect place to escape to. Experience natural beauty, a botanically diverse tree collection, sweeping vistas, lakes, and native fauna.
Explore hidden glades, follow a tree trail, or simply enjoy the view. There’s a Visitor Centre with café offering seasonal food and drinks and a gift shop. Free weekly tours, and a variety of events ensure there’s something for everyone.
As part of its mission to promote healthy trees and woodland, it is home to The Tree Health Centre, and a Red Squirrel Enclosure opens this year.
Under 12s are admitted free of charge and group bookings are welcome. Ample free parking is available on site.

Opening times
The Yorkshire Arboretum is open daily 10am to 4pm from 1 February to 30 November. Last entry is at 4pm, the car park closes at 5pm.
Directions
The Yorkshire Arboretum is on the Castle Howard Estate in the picturesque Howardian Hills. Accessible from the A64, it is near Malton and only 15 miles from York.
