A 120 garden of trees that is glorious throughout the year.
In spring and early summer it is ablaze with naturalised flowering bulbs and wildflower meadows, while in autumn the colours are spectacular. Wander off to explore peaceful hidden glades or the banks of the newly-restored lake, let the children go wild in the woodland playground and enjoy the very best in seasonal, home-cooked food in the café. Free weekly tours and a variety of events ensure there’s something for everyone, whenever you visit. Under-12s are admitted free of charge and group bookings are warmly welcomed.

1 February – 30 November daily 10am – 5pm (Last entry 4pm). Extended entry and café opening until 4:30pm weekends and Bank Holidays from May to October.
15 miles NE of York. Follow the brown signs for Castle Howard. The Yorkshire Arboretum is located opposite the entrance to Castle Howard.
