For the past two years British artist Sarah Gillespie has been researching, drawing and engraving native English moths in order to highlight their dramatic and devastating decline and celebrate their vital roles in the wildlife ecosystem. This free of charge exhibition features all 22 of Sarah Gillespie’s mezzotints as well as new work, Gillespie’s largest mezzotint to date, featuring a Peppered Moth. Throughout the exhibition there will be many bookable events taking place at Castle Howard in collaboration with the artist and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
