Burton Constable Hall is creating ‘Easter Online’ for all the family. Using the power of technology over the coming weeks there will be a variety of activities to get involved in. A virtual Easter Bonnet competition, Easter crafts, quizzes and polls, everyone is encouraged to get involved.
The Re-Opening of the Hall
The doors will remain closed for the foreseeable, unfortunately. Any exploration of the wonders it beholds will have to wait. However, we are giving you a chance to get a glimpse of some of the unseen secrets via our social media channels, in a game we’re calling #SecretsOfBC. Some of these secrets will be from areas not accessible to the public or out of sight for many – much like this one.
Easter Bonnet Competition
Originally scheduled for Easter weekend, we would’ve had three different winners for our Easter bonnet competition. The prizes are already bought, so we still want to give them away. We’re assuming many of you have all the decorations ready to go, so all you have to do is post a picture of you wearing your creation on social media, tag in Burton Constable or use the hashtag #EasterBonnetBC – we’ll then choose our winners!
Easter Crafts
Again, we had lots of activities planned for you all. Some of which we can still share the ‘how to make’ instructions and images with you via our social media channels, so you can try them at home. These include Bird Feeders, Wildflower Seed Bombs & Wooden Bugs! We have also created a shared drive that we will be adding to, in case you wanted to download and print some of our colouring activities.
Farmyard Friends
It’s devastating that we will not be housing the animals from Rand Farm this year. Seeing you all interact, admire and learn from them is one of our favourite things. Instead we’ll be looking to post some of the cutest pictures of our favourite Farmyard Friends with some interesting information and stats alongside – feel free to share your favourite Easter animals and interesting facts back with us on our social channels!
Quizzes & Polls
For further entertainment and engagement, we’ll be delivering a series of quizzes and polls surrounding all things Burton Constable – we may even try a digital Easter Egg Hunt! Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram stories for your fix.
Let’s hope at least some of this will keep you and the kids entertained over the coming weeks. Keep a close eye on our digital and social channels for updates – we’ll be running it on a similar schedule to how it was planned for Easter.
If you have any other ideas for us or any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
