Bolton Castle, one of the country’s best preserved medieval castles located near Leyburn in North Yorkshire, has won Best Family Visitor Attraction 2024 in Yorkshire at one of the premier northern business events, the Northern Enterprise Awards 2024 organised by SME News. Bolton Castle has won thanks to its commitment to offering excellence in customer service, the provision of an engaging visitor schedule of activities and events, and its success in offering a range of business opportunities such as offering the castle as a private event and wedding venue.
Jacqui Naylor, GM at the castle is delighted with the award, saying: “This is the second time Bolton Castle has won an award with the SME News – previously as Best Historical Visitor Attraction in 2023. This shows our commitment to not only providing a diverse and value offer to our daily visitors, but also positioning the castle as a location that offers variety of commercial opportunities to suit all budgets and all requirements. Bolton Castle is often in demand as a filming location and a lovely venue for private events and weddings. We are constantly alert to great opportunities to engage visitor interest and maintain business momentum. This award is well deserved by the team here and lovely for all to enjoy the recognition of their hard work and commitment.”
The Northern Enterprise Awards for 2024 are awarded in December 2024.
