The Yorkshire Arboretum, York, North Yorkshire

A 120 garden of trees that is glorious throughout the year. In spring and early summer it is ablaze with naturalised owering bulbs and wild ower meadows, while in autumn the colours are spectacular.

Wander off to explore peaceful hidden glades or the banks of the newly-restored lake, let the children go wild in the woodland playground and enjoy the very best in seasonal, home-cooked food in the café. Free weekly tours and a busy events programme ensure there’s something for everyone, whenever you visit. Under 12’s are admitted free of charge and group bookings are warmly welcomed.
